According to the report of Devesh Pal Singh of Aaj Tak , the incident took place in Etah district on Sunday, 6 October. Police recovered the body of a 42-year-old woman from a millet field. The woman was identified as Alka wife of Ramakant. According to Etah police, the woman was strangulated to death. According to her husband, who reached Etah mortuary to identify the body of the deceased,
'She had gone to Etah on Saturday, 5 October to plead a case. When she did not return home till late evening, we tried to call her. But her phone was switched off. After which, we searched for her a lot, but she was not found. The next day, late in the evening, we got information that a dead body was lying in a millet field. When we came here and saw, it was my wife.'
Revealing the murder of the woman, Additional Superintendent Rajkumar Singh said,
'The deceased had a relationship with a man named Subhash who lived in her maternal home. Subhash had earlier come out of jail after serving a sentence on rape charges. The deceased's daughter also had a relationship with someone. The woman was unhappy about this. In such a situation, she made a plan with Subhash to kill her daughter and gave Subhash a contract of fifty thousand rupees.'
The police officer further said,
'The contract killer first befriended the deceased's daughter. Then he got her a mobile for talking. As per the plan, the woman took her daughter to her maternal grandmother's house and also called the contract killer Subhash. Also, as per the plan, the deceased told the contract killer that on the day of the court date, you should kill my daughter while coming to Etah from another route. But in the meantime, while talking, the contract killer became friends with the deceased's daughter. In such a situation, he told her about her mother's plan. At the same time, as soon as the plan was known, the woman's daughter proposed marriage to the contract killer and made a plan to get her mother out of the way. After this, the contract killer Subhash sent a fake picture of the daughter's death to the woman. And asked the woman for the money for the contract killing of the daughter. When the money was not received for many days, he went to Agra with the daughter and called the woman to Agra as well.'
According to the police official,
'When the woman reached Agra, the contract killer told her that he had not killed her daughter. After this, the woman, her daughter and the contract killer all three came to Etah and after visiting the Ramlila fair, they got down a little before Aliganj. From there, the contract killer reached near village Nagla Chandan Puranjala in Jasrathpur police station area in an unknown vehicle and along with the woman's daughter killed the woman. And threw the body in a millet field.'
