Now the camel has come down the mountain! iPhone 16e will have to compete with premium Android phones
The iPhone 16e can be seen as a budget iPhone, but it falls short in competing with premium Android phones. If Apple wants to make this device more attractive to Indian consumers, then its price should be less than Rs 50,000.

Apple recently launched the iPhone 16e, which is being described as the most 'affordable' option of the latest iPhone series, but can it really compete with premium Android phones? Against brands like OnePlus, iQOO and Realme, the journey of the iPhone 16e is not going to be easy.
iPhone 16e: Features and Price
The 128GB variant of the iPhone 16e comes at a starting price of Rs 59,900. It has a 6.1-inch LCD display (60Hz refresh rate) and 1,200 nits peak brightness.
Apple has given the A18 chipset in it, but it comes with a weaker GPU than the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus. Talking about the camera setup, it has a 48MP single rear camera and a 12MP front camera.
How difficult is it to compete with Android flagships?
If we look at Android phones in this price range, models like OnePlus 12, iQOO 12, and Samsung Galaxy S23 FE come with better features.
These include 120Hz AMOLED display, triple camera setup, up to 100W fast charging and up to 6,000mAh battery. All this makes it a more powerful and value-for-money option than the iPhone 16e.
Will Apple's brand name be enough?
Apple's iOS and brand value attract many users, but price matters a lot in the Indian market. If a customer is thinking of buying a phone on EMI, he would prefer to spend a little more and get the iPhone 16 or iPhone 15, as these models have better display and camera setup.
The iPhone 16e can be seen as a budget iPhone, but it falls short in competing with premium Android phones.
If Apple wants to make this device more attractive to Indian consumers, then its price should be less than 50,000. Otherwise, this model will only attract those users who want iOS at any cost.
