In the new beta version of WhatsApp, the biggest change is going to be made regarding privacy, i.e. user privacy. It is understood that Meta, the parent company of WhatsApp, is now testing a very important feature to prevent spamming, i.e. cheating through fake links and similar things through WhatsApp. This is a feature of username pin!
Username Peen service is being patched in beta version 2.24.18.2 of WhatsApp for Android. GSM Arena has said that this new system will be implemented in order to increase the security of users and prevent unwanted messages.
According to the new updates, WhatsApp users will be able to set their four-digit PIN number. Like the username, this pin number will be provided as per the user’s choice.
Username PIN will provide more security to users. People who have never been contacted on WhatsApp before can no longer be sent direct messages due to this PIN security.
If the other person only has your phone number, you won’t be able to send them direct messages. This is expected to reduce the problem of spamming to a great extent and provide more security to the users.
